Hello All

OK, out of my world but excited to jump in and do some work.....looking for advise, thoughts, ideas...

I have selected to purchase a Sunset 109---still trying to negotiate the 109E but will probably end up with the 109S. Still--happy, I believe ;-)

There have been comments that I have found and talked to others about the axle needing to be changed out. As a first effort....
Specs....109E
Length - 16ft or 12ft (depending on the 109E versus the 109S)
Hitch Weight = 300 lbs
Gross Weight = 3500 lbs
Dry Weight = 1640 lbs
Fresh Water Capacity = 16 gals
Water Heater Capacity = 6 gal

Believe the axle is rated for 2k

It is suggested to change it out to a 4k axle....

How difficult is this and anyone have any thoughts on possible cost? I tried to do a search, basic, and kept going in loops....Based on those of you that tow....is it really needed? Or a "safe" to have?

Hit a few in Denver...could have spent some $$$ for sure. However, thought it better NOT for the boss to be "happy" since I was headed back with the trailer...

Found out--the roof is prewired for solar as well as a hook up on the outside. I have to think, for the battery and effort, the outside (not the roof) is a better way to go?? Especially if stored for long periods of time?

That looks about perfect for one or two to camp outback with. Same idea as a teardrop but with a little headroom! I think the ATV rack/ front deck just adds so much more! Enjoy it! DR
