Just like that, a little over 5 months to go until September 1st. Saw my first white wing of the year a couple weeks ago. Dove numbers should be pretty stellar this year.

Seems like the white wings are running a little late this year.
I usually see them well before April.
Just now starting to see good numbers of mourning dove.
Got my airbnb booked. Shells stock piled. Still have time to make tri tip chili. Looking forward to another productive season.

Do any of you go down to Yuma to hunt? I have been wanting to head that way to try the opening out, it sounds like a big deal. Any pointers or advise for it?

it's going to be crowded this year, opener falls on a Friday. If you're dead set on Yuma, go early and scout, and sleep in your truck at the spot you want to be in the night before. Otherwise, be moving at 2:00am to get to your third pick spot, because your top 2 will be taken.

There's other areas in the state with good dove hunting as well

Nope if you want to go through even a box of ammo opening weekend, you HAVE to go to yuma. Every other place in AZ is terrible and hot and unfriendly to hunters and , and....

How would the dove hunting in Yuma be if there was a wall between it and California?

crowded, but there'd be more "real" beer cans and less IPA and Bud Light cans left around

They're going to be a lot of disappointed east valley shooters this year. Zimmerman farm is being turned into houses

Is 10ga legal take for dove? Asking for a friend
Funny he should ask, I just picked up 5 boxes of 10ga at the gun show. Couldn't find any.
