We'll be out there again this year up near Bagdad for some camping, rabbit hunting, shooting and all around good times.

We had wet end of summer and wet fall, hope for a wet winter.

Would love to see anyone and everyone to join us. Kids friendly camp.

Camp is about 15 miles southeast of Bagdad and we will be camping March 24th to March 26th

We will talk later about making sure we have all the necessary shelter, stoves, tables, food etc...

Location
34°31'15.8"N 113°04'46.7"W · Bagdad Unified District, AZ

Directions:
Take I17 to Carefree Hwy
Go west onto W Carefree Hwy (AZ-74 W) toward Wickenburg. go about 30 mi
Turn right onto US-60 West. Continue on US-60 West. go about 10 mi
Continue on US-93 North. go about 43 mi
Turn right onto AZ-97. go about 11 mi
Turn right onto CR-15 (AZ-96) go about 3.5 miles.

Take a left (go north) onto H Ranch road. The campsite is about 1/4 mile north on
this dirt road. The campsite is on the right side (east side) of the road.

Please keep posts on topic, Questions? It's best to contact me via email : [email protected]

Answers to common questions:

Primitive campsite, No facilities, No water, No firewood, No trash collection, No internet for most carriers (My Verizon phone works most of the time).

Weather is unpredictable, we had a snowstorm one year and very hot dry weather in other years. Last year was cold and windy. Come prepared for any surprise.

Very well maintained dirt road from the highway to the campsite, You can bring your Tents, Tent trailers, RV or trailer. First come first serve, if you come early, please think about space for the rest of us. We did not have any problem in past years.

If you are new to hunting we will have quick safety briefing and will do our best to mentor you. Please let us know in advance if possible.

Bring Food, Water, Firewood and something for the famous Saturday dinner. (We will work on what's needed as we get close). Dont forget large trash bags. We leave the site cleaner than we found it.

EZ-UP canopies or the like are desirable as well, if you have one bring it.

In the past we had one communal fire pit for the group, We all need to bring firewood to feed it. Please don't bring trash to burn.

Bagdad is about 15 miles away and there is a gas station and Bashas.

Most hunt with a .22 rifle or shotgun, also bows and pistols. In the past we set a shooting spot so bring any toy you like. We usually set a "theme" for the afternoon show and shoot, big bore pistols, military surplus rifles etc. We usually hang an AR 500 plate, and a dueling tree, we can get 350 yards really easy. Other distances are possible.

You don't need a 4x4 to get there or hunt. many Hunting areas is walking distance from camp or a short drive.

Hope for great weather and many rabbits.

Merry Christmas,
Green.

My father and I would love to join y'all! I'm new to hunting, he has some experience hunting small game. I am however an avid camper and love cooking in nature, so I look forward to contributing towards the meals and hopefully learning a thing or two while meeting some awesome people. See y'all in March.
You need to plan on Squirrel / Turkey camp first weekend of Oct in 5 BS, We do alot of cooking at this one, and this year a heck of a pot luck was done. Lot of tree rats, nada on turkey, but not from trying, lots of walking/ sitting done. Just not our year for Thunder Chickens.
