Any suggestions for a mouth call to use on coyotes?
Something I can pack in my turkey vest?
Every now and again I see a coyote while turkey hunting and would like to have something in my arsinal to call 'em in.

If you are good with diaphragm calls, maybe something like an MFK Ruthless Rabbit.

I can often squeak em in w/o a call. Throw kisses. Ya gotta be on them with the gun before doing this, any movement and you're busted.

For a diverse call, I've had good luck in the past with the Primos CatNip call. Can make it super high pitched like a mouse/rat, or lower pitched like a jack-rabbit, and does well adding raspy sounds to it.

Most any can work. But practice is your friend. I used to commute 60 miles a day which left me plenty alone time in the car to practice with my call. The calls I get the most use from are open reed calls. But I also use a closed reed distress call. For a Spring hunt you may do well with a Coyote pup distress call. It will make the Moms look to see whos pup is getting bitten! DR
