There was an interesting video on youtube a couple days ago uploaded by gunsandgadgets. The GOA lawyer at SHOT interviewed the ATF about the pistol brace rule. ATF has a rule that anyone who they can't complete a background check on in 90 days is automatically denied at 89 days and the applicant automatically becomes a prohibited possessor. Since thet are running at least 3 months for most background checks, anyone who applies during the 120 days "grace period" will probably automatically become a prohibited possessor at 89 days. I would like clarification, providing anyone here can provide any legal documentation / resources on the following;

Under the current 120-day brace ruling recently enacted by the BATF, is there any language that permits any of our government agencies from exercising the use of Braces?

Some of you may feel compelled to lump me into the Ted Nugent crowd for my comments, but IMHO, all law-abiding citizens (not previously convicted of an aggravated felony), are guaranteed under the 2nd Amendment to possess any and all firearms that our various government agencies could use against the Citizens, including any / all attachable hardware, such as Braces. It's my opinion that if the government can use fully auto rifles against us, why are they forbidden to use by law abiding gun owners? That's brazenly tyrannical, IMO. My statements stray slightly away from the original post, but... I ramble.
From what I have read / watched / understood they are subject to the same restrictions / requirements as us non-special "subjects." However, as I am sure we both know - if they don't comply usually the consequences are non existent in comparison.

Here is the ATF's one page document on "Affected Parties :"

Notice how they say "certain government agencies." Pretty sure that is their way of saying "do as we say, not as we do."

So, have the value of braces and short uppers gone way up in value? Enquiring minds want to know! I figure the suppressor guys would like to register another SBR with no $200 required. Then again, I suspect there are some that don't want to deal with the extreme NFA rules of having an SBR; so, maybe there is a glut of braces and short uppers.

Is it illegal to sell braces already? Or is that tomorrow or not addressed yet? I know PSA has stopped. What about short barrel uppers? I have not seen "selling" addressed.

There's no value in either. If anything their value has dropped. You sell and buy whatever you want the atf says. It is an "accessory" and they don't regulate "accessories" just braced firearms lol.
Braces have zero value now. Like ZERO. Why pay $200 for a brace when you can buy a $25 milspec stock.

I already stated why: to qualify for the "free" SBR registration.

It is s not illegal to buy or sell either. And it wont be tmw, or 120 days from tmw.

This, besides the fact this this is a regulation, NOT a law. And that it is arguably unconstitional anyway.

They can qualify for a free sbr without a brace
Incorrect. The ATF had a question-and-answer webinar which had some interesting stuff. You had to have had the braced pistol before yesterday to qualify for the $200 exemption. They also verified you could sell all these "accessories" and ATF does not deal with these.

Well, ain't that a B.

ETA: if it were true. I had to do a double take after I watched. I was like, what changed? Well, nothing changed. His info just isn't correct. SBRs , suppressors, etc are all legal here in AZ so long as you in compliance with Federal law.
Unless I am missing something big here... Which I could be, but don't think I am.
I mean, lots of retailers and manufacturers of NFA items right here in Flagstaff. Heck, Big Sandy machine gun shoot. Heard of that? That's AZ .
