I let mine expire and so have to pay the higher fee and get fingerprinted. Been a long time since I got those done. Suggestions. Livescan/UPS want $44 and I think they are electronic -- don't we have to use the DPS cards? TPD wants $20 for the 2 cards and they are still requiring masks and whatnot. Anybody actually do this lately?

I went to a live scan place and they just “print” your fingerprints on DPS cards. Though I had to do mine for employment purposes, so no idea if it’s the same for CC

First time i got mine for work felt like i had to wait at station for a bit. Personally it seemed inconvenient. Next time i completed it i did livescan/ups was very quick and easy. Was in and out of UPS in 5 minutes but i called ahead. Cost more but sometimes convenience is worth it.

Tub I’m not sure but I think you can actually go to the dps building and get it done there too.
I went there to pay for my ccw with a credit card which they don’t advertise they do and thought I saw someone waiting to get their finger prints taken.
when I mailed my check in they took longer then the 90 days and ended up expiring so that’s when they informed me I can pay by card there

I think UPS can do. Just call and ask about ccw though. If they do them, they should be able to tell you what you need to know.
I like electonic scan way better for my prints. Before everyone started doing that, i actually had a deputy ask if i had burned off or had my fingertips damaged at some point.
I have to get them done for ccw and fingerprint clearance card.
