Well it was a nice day out today after all the storms that came rumbling through yesterday. We headed on up to the lake to do a little leisure fishing and swimming. My 2 oldest kids ages 6 and (almost) 5 caught a bucket full of sunfish. Elizabeth caught the largest one of the day and Sam came in at a close second. Here are a couple pictures I took of them this afternoon.
Great looking kids Steve, those smiles say it all. Thanks for sharing. It takes a mess of 'em to make a meal, but those are real good eating little fish. Most of us call 'em bluegill here in AZ.
Yea the kids definitely get their looks from their mother... not me  Bluegill I think is the technical term. Us Mainers always do things bass ackwards....
Not necessarily so Steve, after all, they are considered sunfish. I believe they're from the same family as perch and crappie.
