Dealer cost on a 43 is less than $400 so a used one should be in his price range but everyone likes those so the prices are staying inflated.

Sure, you're right that these prices are certainly lower than you will find them at a gun store.

They are also certainly higher than what a gun store would offer you for these firearms if you went to trade them in.

So I don't think they are unreasonable. Go ahead and take them to a gun store and see what they'll give you. I bet you'd get at the most $250 for a G43 and $300 for a 43xMOS.

The point of doing a private sale is cutting out the middleman of the gun store, so that you get more for the pistol than you would otherwise, and I get the pistol for less than I would otherwise. A win-win for both parties.

That's silly, people who trade guns in do it because they're not familiar with places like this that one can advertise guns for sale.

Someone who saw your WTB would just post it for sale here or GunBroker at market value and it would get snatched up in a couple days.

If you look long enough in the right places, you will find what you want at a price that is acceptable to you. I do it all the time, you just can’t be in a hurry or have it yesterday.

Yeah, I gotta disagree with this. There is significantly more hassle with selling a gun on gunbroker, which is why I have sold several guns on here. Sure you could get more on gunbroker, but then you have to go through an FFL and pay a fee, and open an account, ship it, etc. etc. Or you could post it for sale here, wait til someone local reaches out, and make perhaps slightly less money.

Also, I don't know where you're getting the "market value" for these pistols, but I posted a range which seems to me very reasonable for someone who wants the cash without a hassle. Again, definitely more than a pawn shop would give you, and hassle free. Up to $325 for a used G43 which you can find for around $400 brand new on sale, and up to $375 for a used G43xMOS which you can regularly find on sale brand new for $450. I'd say a markdown of $75 or more, which is less than a quarter of the price of the new gun, is very reasonable.

At any rate, if you don't like the price, you can move on, lol. I'm in no rush to get this firearm, which is also why I can afford to offer on the lower end. Eventually someone will either sell one to me, or I'll just buy one blue label for slightly more.
