In about 24 hours, I'll be hitting the road headed north for Maine. Brrrrr! Supposed to be snowing there tonight with off and on snow showers right through the weekend.
Saturday is opening day for whitetail deer. I head to hunting camp Sunday morning for a full week. It's a great time and I hope I have some luck and can send back great photos.
You won't hear from me for a few days as no phones, no electricity where I'm headed.

  2. Boy, I sure miss hunting camp in Maine. My ex- father in law has a camp in Haynesville. I miss that place like you wouldn't believe....

Haynesville?!!! That must be near "That stretch of road up north in Maine, that's never ever ever seen a smile. If they buried all them truckers, lost in them woods, there'd be a tombstone every mile."

Remember that song by Dick Curless?

  4. LOL - yup. The Haynesville Woods does have a reputation

  5. Good luck and good hunting. Sounds like a great time!
