Good evening to all of you fellers out west-
So, there's no doubt about it- it's spring down here on the gulf coast. How do I know? I went out on the Causeway this afternoon and ate me a few pounds of steamed crawfish with some new potatoes, and that's a for sure spring thing down here. Love me some mudbugs, I do.
The other thing that tells me it's spring here? There are several wildfires burning all around us- one is pretty close- and that's a spring thing. Why fires? these come from rival and near-neighbor hunting clubs which tend to burn out the other fellers' camps for revenge or retaliation or just being low down and sorry.
Mostly just burns a few deer stands and underbrush, but quite often trailers and other camp buildings get torched too.
That's just the way some folks roll down here- love them a fire burning up other folk's property, they do.

So, yep- it's spring. I reckon on going back and eating up some more pounds of mudbugs before long, I do.

you all be safe and keep well- Ed

We can start to tell it's spring here on top of the rim too Ed. We've had rain all week instead of snow, and it's helping it melt off fast. Plus, rabbit camp is next week!
