If a gun owner had a problem with a gun malfunctioning during the warranty period and the manufacturer refused to honor their obligations under the warranty or under Moss-Magnuson where could the gun owner go to get the manufacturer to make the warranty right?

I know that there are Lemon Law lawyers for vehicles but I have not found any that take any other types of claims. I do not know if NRA has lawyer contacts that would look into those or if the owner is just SOL with no recourse.

Nope, Alexander. Savage did good by me. It is a long story with Alexander but they changed their warranty about 5 months after I bought a HMR .17 and now want to impose the new warranty rules on me.

Contact the BBB, state atorney general office, and any consumer protection agency we may have. Your only option is to expend funds for a small claims court, or leverage the arm of the government to bend them to comply to their obligations. its actually pretty easy these days to go through all the boards and agency. I recently had an issue with a dentist :) Also leave HONEST review on google, yelp or whatever. some might care some wont care. Send Alexander a strong worded message and what authority they are failing to meet their obligation and your intended actions of escalation. A lot of these manufaturers, take us for a bunch of red necks that don't know jack chit and sure as hell try to take advantage of us

Yes, I have been sending messages back and forth with them about their obligations. This is a small company that depends upon customer satisfaction so I am hoping that they will understand their obligation to their consumer and what bad feedback can do to them. We will see but you can't change the game in the middle and expect that the player is going to buckle and not take action. They now have a disclaimer on their web site about the use of certain ammo and a suppressor but there was nothing about that on the original web site or manual (which I have) . I am pushing but it really is going to take a lemon law action since they use Moss-Magnuson as their warranty claim. Fact is BMW bought me a new car because of that law and so I am not afraid of them but finding a lemon law lawyer that will do guns today is another story.

The wanted me to send the gun back at my expense (under warranty) for evaluation. I said it would be cheaper to send the parts than the entire gun. So we will see what they say but they do not know is that I have a Don Henley attitude with these things. "I have always been willing to take it to the wall".

Ya, And I got a NEW crate motor for my Jeep ! The BBB has helped me on another subject, but they got the company to settle for less on a issue I tried to fix on Advertising with a phone book company. I set the terms and they agreed.

Alexander agreed to pay the freight for the gun to go back for inspection so will see how it goes from there. I did find a lemon law firm that indicated they would look at the case if I want.

Well, I have to say that Alexander stepped up, went completely through the gun, checked everything, replaced anything they thought was suspicious, charged me nothing and are sending it back paid shipping. Turns out the "tech" I originally talked with was overridden by his manager who did the right thing. I am pleased but I think I am selling the gun when it gets back. I do like it, it is a nice operating weapon but it is heavier than what I was looking for. I think I will look for something not in the AR configuration.
