Looks like a Bow making setup is a Rabbit Hole in DIGUISE !!! Think you got enough matches ???

I wish you luck, Rick.
Welp, life gets in the way and makes it difficult to keep at it. Besides, several flaws in the wood appeared, causing more disappointment, worm damage 4” from the top and on the edge. Hoping i can work around it.

Steaming last week didn’t work and guessing the limbs were still to heavy. Whittled some off then steamed again this morning with success. Now to let it set for a week or 5 days

Will do gavinspop. I’d like to make one of these some day and sell it. Just gotta practice more. Success and failure go hand in hand, sorta like starting your own business.

I don't have the patience or the skills to pull that off.
This will be an awesome rewarding project once you're done! Best of luck!

A willow branch will make a quick fun bow as well. You did good.
I pulled the Osage from the cull, steamed the opposite end and then clamped back to the cull. The first end did retain some deflex and is looking good. Time to start messing with a length of juniper I’ve had for awhile
