Quick Tactics?

  1. I'm hunting pigs in Coolidge and there are tons of deer tracks. No patterns. There's a giant dirt water tank there, so not one I can really sit. Either there are a lot of deer, or a couple doing a lot of traveling. No trails, per se - just kind of wandering around.

When you run into sign like that, and haven't scouted extensively - are there any tactics that might bring em in? Grunting? Rattling? Buck pee? Doe in estrus pee? Will whitetail scents work, or do you really need to use mule deer scents?
  2. Being in the desert, yes, you will need to use all of the above, specifically, mule deer scents. If the rut is in ANY effect, they will all bring em in.

  3. Sorry, for deer.....not pigs. Use pig tactics to bring the pigs in!
