Welcome to the group, Sean. Where in Phoenix are you?
McDowell Mountain Park, lots of rabbits.
My neighborhood have lots along with coyotes but in city limits lol.
Honestly though look at the rabbit camp get together happening in March. I was new to the boards sat year and went. I met some great people and learned a lot. Had greens kids showing adults including myself how to clean them which I felt comfortable and not embarrassed.
Roadkill posted how to clean, which I want to see him demonstrate to the best of his ability. If I go someone can clean my rabbits, to many ticks, HAHA.

You can hunt there?

McDowell falls within 25M and the G&F website outlines the archery mule deer, lion, javi and shotgun dove and quail but doesn't specify any other game. I have not hunted rabbits in there but quail many times. I would make one call to the park before you go but I am thinking you are aok.

I'm thinking the pic 5foot posted above clearly indicates that you CANNOT hunt cottontail rabbits in Unit 25M. I would check the numbered notes though, to see if there is an exclusion in there to allow it in McDowell Mtn. Park. Don't know about jackrabbits, but I'm sure it's addressed in the regs, somewhere.

They are all still bunnies, jacks or cottons.

Reading = not my strong suit

That's true, but the regulation shown in the picture above specifically says cottontail.
Didnt read it, Thanks for clarifying it to us old folks.
It's more like....us old people need to stick together and have each other's back! I'm your age.
Ill second that, HereHere. Welcome to the OLD Mans Club, We all have alot of wisdom to share. Or shall we be the Senior Club of AHT !!!!
