For all you archery javelina hunters, if Mother Nature follows through on the rain later this week, this weekend should be fantastic for hunting! It looks like the timing might be perfect. If we get heavy rain and dropping temps Friday and you are not out hunting at first light on Saturday, you might be missing a golden opportunity.

    1) The rain will wash away all the old tracks, making tracking easier.

    2) Cold temps (especially with rain) means the pigs will seek out their favorite shelter at night. If you know of a good pig cave, be there at dawn!
  2. Excellent tips rk.

And as soon as it starts warming up they will be out feeding trying to catch up on what they missed during the storm, Meaning they will be out later in the day, and easier to find.

I hope to have the same luck with deer.
