Researcher looking for fresh-frozen raccoon

Discussion in 'Predators & Furbearers' started by Heather Smith, Aug 15, 2017.

  1. I'm a biologist interested in studying raccoon anatomy and genetics. I don't want to kill any animals myself for this purpose, so I'm looking to purchase a frozen raccoon carcass that is in good shape and was frozen within 12 hours of death (otherwise the DNA will be too degraded to study). No road-killed specimens, please. Any contributions will be acknowledged in future publications resulting from this specimen. Please send me a private message if you have access to any such specimens or expect to acquire them soon. Thank you.
