Hi all. My son got his first Javalina in unit 35b. It was the youth hunt. It took a few days to find them but we finally located down in a river bottom getting out of the wind right before the bad weather hit. The wired thing was this sow had split lower tusk. Does this mean it's old or young or just a freak?

Nice work and congrats.

A boar I shot two years ago had a cracked upper tusk and an old break at the ankle in one hind leg.

Sometimes I just need to read these before I post. boar/bore. The bullet when out the bore and killed the boar

Yeah I guess split is the wrong word for it. It had double lower tusk. So I guess it does go down in the freak column.

Yeah, I spent a year or 30 working in photo labs. A little bit of that rubbed off on me and I can handle a camera when I want to. LOL
