I was thinking of getting a suit specifically for coyote. Thanks.

I'm going to check some out today. Heat will be a factor. I'm hoping to find a light one.
The areas I have scouted out before don't have much cover on the ridges...I'll also be looking for an easily portable blind. Not sure which would work better.

In the early 90s me and my brother made some from military camo BDUs and left over netting from Desert Storm that we brought back from Saudi when we were in the Marines. We added silk leaves that we bought from a Craft Mart and let me tell you, we were very deadly on fall turkey hunts around the watering holes. The only down fall was that the circular loops of the netting would snag sometimes on brush and the bushes/branches. But hell they worked great and were for free. Now if I could just fit into them again.:-D

Yeah, I always thought those ghillie suits would be miserable in warm weather. I have a couple of leafy suits I really like. The foundation material is actually netting that breathes really well, and then strips of leafy material are sewn onto it. It slips over whatever you are wearing, so you adjust your clothing for the weather, and then put on the leafy suit. You can wear shorts and t-shirt under it when its warm.

I believe AzSlim has made some from scraps of old camo clothing. I also think he has a store bought ghillie too.

If I'm not mistaken, he "almost always" wears one when he sits water during the archery deer hunts.

When I retired I got to keep mine as a retirement gift from the unit. It is still rolled and haven't had it on since before I retired. Just to darn heavy, at least the military ones are. We bought one for our son for Christmas called "Bug Tamer Plus" 3D big leaf design in mossy oak break-up. Very lite,
web design. Bought it at Sportsman Warehouse in Tucson. The down side is that they snag on everything out in the desert.

I wear one from Rancho Safari. It is burlap and cloth strips sewn onto nylon mesh that breathes real good. All you have to do is stop in the shade to cool down. Plus it is easy on/easy off and comes with a carrying strap if you don't want to wear it to your stand. I do not like the hood that came with it, I tie it on my daypack for camo and wear a boonie with a face mask and strips from my ghillie sewn on. I have had deer, elk, coyotes & foxes wonder what the heck I am while wearing it. Have been close enough to spit on them at times.
