It's an old thread but a good one. Just did my first coyote hunt this morning and I'll try to put into practice the calling advice on my next hunt. I had a chance at one coyote early in the morning. It was going crazy at daybreak yelping and barking so I decided to try to stalk it rather than call it in. It was on the other side of a wash, so I crossed the wash and started to come up the other side, then it went silent. Wind was in my favor so I think it heard me. Tried to call it in then but it wasn't having any of it. Next time I'll plop my butt down and start calling before I spook it. Other than that it was a good hike in the desert. Saw one black tail jackrabbit and a handful of cottontails.

I just saw this post. Apparently it has been around awhile.
One thing that gets me is the comment ,

" Theres no such thing as ethics when your Killing varmits especially yotes., "

Every animal regardless of it's stature in the hunting world , should be killed in the most humane way possible.
Ethics is what hunting is all about.
