Good evening Everyone, I know everyone is tired of seeing posts about Coyote and Bobcat hunting.

I am new to Hunting Unit 16A, does anyone have any recommendations where some good spots to scout would be?

Also, is there any areas that I can not bring my dogs to join the hunt? I know some areas and some times of the year, you are not allowed to use dogs.

I have a 4x4 midsize truck, and don't mind hiking 10 miles a day.

Thank you for your recommendations!

It has been a long time since I have been through that area. But it contained a lot of sheep grazing. And Sheep herders HATE coyotes! They would be the ones I would ask for sightings.
As far as your dog goes be sure you can recall your dog. A pack of coyotes will sometimes lure a dog out and then the whole pack will attack. Those I have seen that use dogs spend plenty of time teaching their dog to come when called! Good Luck DR
Thank you! I have not really explored the area too much, just doing some pre-scouting. I appreciate the insider info. I have not been to any of the wilderness zones in 16A either. I'll need to read up on their rules.

Hi
I live in 16A
My advice is just find any out of the way place.
Walk at least a quarter mile from your truck.
Give it a go.
Coyotes are everywhere here like the rest of Az
I took the time driving out to alamo lake from chicken springs road this weekend and it seemed like there is a lot of land to explore. I am in the Dutch Flats area. I will have to get ranch passes it sounds like to hunt on some land. Maybe i am wrong i am still doing research on the area.
